Campus Backbone Network

Through the high-efficiency router in the Computer and Communication Center, hyper-speed information exchanges can be made on campus with major networks including Taiwan Academic Network (TANet)、TaiWan Advanced Research and Education Network (TWAREN)、Academia Sinica (SINICA)、Chunghwa Telecom (HiNet)、Asia Pacific Broadband Fixed Lines (now merged into Asia Pacific Telecom)、Taiwan Fixed Network and National Chiao Tung University.
The campus network structure of the University can be roughly divided into three categories: Extranet, Peering, and Intranet.

1.Extranet

  • Connecting to the Internet via the NTHU's proprietary international circuit
  • Connecting to the Internet via TANet
  • Connecting to the Internet2 via TWAREN
  • Connecting to the Internet Via SINICA

2.Peering
